ReplyDeleteAnnie Oakley was the first historical figure) that I ever learned about. My dad is a HUGE history buff and is constantly reading all of these huge non-fiction books about various people, battles and events. When I was little I wanted to be just like him, so as he sat reading his massive text book on some crazy politician from the 1940s, I would curl up next to him with 30 pages of large printed Annie Oakley.
